Programs

Spiny Babbler programs and projects over the years have addressed media research, health, environment, children and youth, corruption, peace and mediation, among other topics. This page will be updated with further text and images.

More than 200 schools have benefitted from Spiny Babbler interventions over the years. 88 schools in five districts worked with Spiny Babbler on issues related to working children; young people from 20 nations and all the six continents contribution to a better understanding of mountain issues; corporal punishment, child nutrition, and other issues have been addressed.

Program sectors were active for people at high risk, communities, education, youth, and the arts.

Doctors, women, educators, and senior citizens have participated and contributed to Spiny Babbler efforts that have brought together a wide variety of community members from security chiefs, education and local development heads, and the general grassroots people.

Environmental and climate issues issues have been a part of Spiny Babbler programs and projects. From a three year action research on how to make best use of alternative media to reach out to a semi-urban community to wetlands preservation, workshops and training sessions have helped planners, implementers and the general people.

Training, capacity building, improved human resource are areas that Spiny Babbler has addressed. It has worked with high school teachers, shelter home managers, leading Nepalese creators, and community influencers to bring change.
